Hung Shek Mun

Hung Shek Mun (Red Stone Gate)

A very treacheous walk on a heavily overgrown path. Marvelous natural red stones which are rarely found in Hong Kong.

Wu Kau Teng > Sheung Miu Tin > Ha Miu TIn > Ma Liu Ho > Hung Shek Mun > Wang Leng > Ha Miu TIn > Wu Kau Teng

The round-trip starts from Wu Kau Teng, a little farming village with a couple of houses. A muddy track in nice condition will lead you to Sheung Miu Tin and Ha Miu TIn. At the junction marked by a few wooden posts, turn to the right and choose the 'lower track'. After the juction to Tai Tung, carefully look for a tiny path on your right marked by an offical danger sign  Stick to the path with ibbons and you will reach Hung Shek Mun. Take the other way to the small Hung Shek Mun Reservouir and you go up to Wang Leng. Break away from the Plover Cove Country Trail to Ha Miu Tin then back to Wu Kau Teng.
